Who We Are
Mission / Purpose
Prevail Initiatives is organized exclusively for charitable, scientific and education purposes. The mission of Prevail Initiatives is to support community-led efforts in the areas of food justice, community-building and the arts. We have been fiscal sponsors for food justice and for arts initiatives primarily at the Zion Community Commons location in the Midway area of Saint Paul, Minnesota. Free meals are served here, along with pay as you can arts performances.
At Zion Community Commons We Welcome…
- GUESTS: We ewlcome everyone who can benefit from a meal and groceries – regardless of ability to pay – as well as the experience of community support and friendship.
- VOLUNTEER SUPPORTERS: Many of our guests have also become volunteers, expanding their own community experience while providing support to the mission of food justice for all.
- FINANCIAL SUPPORTERS: We are grateful for our community, friends and our participants who share weekly, monthly, and one-time contributions to our food justice and arts programs. Community support sustains, uplifts and encourages broader participation in our food justice, arts and solidarity actions.
